NOBSKA's archives record her restoration blow by blow, Safely in Drydock starting with her move to the Charlestown Navy Yard's drydock in the spring of 1996.

A separate glossary defines many of the shipbuilding terms.

The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) continually reviews and approves all reconstruction plans before each phase of the work begins.

The restoration narrative frequently uses frame numbers to delineate or position construction activities. NOBSKA has 105 frames, they are numbered starting with #1 at the stem to #105 at the stern. The frames are spaced 2 feet apart corresponding to NOBSKA's overall length of 210 feet.
