Half Speed Ahead

Dateline: New Bedford, 28 Sept, 2001 - We have made it to the final step in our application to MassHiWay for TEA-21 funds in the amount of $750,000 to render NOBSKA seaworthy so that she can vacate DryDock#1 (as ordered by the US Navy/NPS) and move to a wet berth for continued restoration.
This final hurdle is the review (and approval) from Mass. Secretary of Transportation, Kevin J. Sullivan. On its outcome hangs the fate of our beloved NOBSKA, America's last of her kind.
